What It Is<\/h2>

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is the complete address of one specific page, image or file on the web. A URL usually includes the protocol (https:\/\/), the domain name (yourbusiness.com) and a path to the page (\/services\/roof-repair). If your domain is the building address, the full URL is the address plus the floor and room number.<\/p>

Why It Matters for Your Business<\/h2>

Clear URLs help both people and search engines understand what a page is about. A contractor’s page at yourbusiness.com\/roof-repair is easier to share, remember and trust than one ending in a string of numbers. Short, descriptive URLs also look better in Google results and text messages.<\/p>
