What It Is
A wireframe is a basic outline of a web page, usually in gray boxes and lines, that shows where things will sit: the logo, menu, headline, photos, text and buttons. It leaves out colors, fonts and real images on purpose. It is like the floor plan of a house before anyone picks paint or furniture.
Why It Matters for Your Business
Wireframes let you agree on structure before money is spent on detailed design. A salon owner can look at a wireframe and say, "Put the booking button higher," or "We need a section for gift cards," while those changes are still quick and cheap. Fixing layout problems at this stage saves time later.
Good to Know
When you review a wireframe, focus on order and content, not looks. Ask whether a new visitor would understand what you offer and how to act within a few seconds of landing. It is much easier to move a gray box now than to rebuild a finished, styled page later.
